SambaLa Home Page - From the West Coast of the USA, this is an excellent site put together with an obvious enthusiasm and love for Samba.
Stomp - You've all seen Stomp. They're those mad people who hit bins and things with broom handles and stuff. They're very good, and this is a great site.
Womad - In case you don't know, WOMAD stands for World Of Music And Dance, and wherever you live in the world, there's probably an anual festival somewhere near you. Radio Real World - The on-line home of Peter Gabriel's Real World record label, a great organisation who release some of the most incredible music you are ever likely to hear. Roots World - An online and e-mail magazine of world and roots music. A great place to start looking into world music. World Music Network - If you fancy listening to music from a particular part of the planet, you'll probably be able to find it here. They have a very large catalogue of world music. You can listen to samples of every CD, then buy on-line. They even sell "Rough Guide" CD's, to introduce you to different types of music. Well worth a look. World Music Central - This is a very very big site indeed, dedicated to ALL things related to world music. Set aside a few hours to look at this one.
Starland Home Page - Starland sell all kinds of musical instruments, including many types of percussion. They even do a complete 'Samba Band Starter Package'. Knock on Wood - Knock on Wood sell musical instruments from around the world, including an excellent selection of drums of all kinds. Remo Home Page - From drumheads to drums, Remo manufacture and sell many types of world percussion.
Tomás Howie Drumming Web - Although this site is mainly aimed at 'kit drummers', the sections on rudiments and warming up are essential to all drummers .
